Trans Tasman Amateur Radio Contest. Luskintyre. A special event station will operate from Luskintyre Airfield for the annual Trans Tasman Amateur Radio Contest. This contest focusses on operations on the 160 metre Amateur Radio band or 1.8Mhz and operates over the hours of Saturday 6pm to midnight. Two special entennas will be erected at Luskintyre for the event - an omni-directional inverted V antenna and a directional antenna pointed towards Wellington New Zealand. Aviators and Radio Amateurs are most welcome to visit.

Amateur Radio Remembrance Day Contest. Luskintyre. A special event Amateur Radio Station will operate from Luskintyre Airfield for the annual Remembrance Day Contest. The contest commemorates Radio Amateurs who died during World War II and is intended to encourage friendly participation and help improve the operating skills of participants. It is held as close to August 15, the date on which hostilities ceased in the southwest Pacific area. Radio Amateurs in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea are the only stations able to participate in this event, and stations operate on HF bands 1.8 to 30MHz and on VHF bands 50MHz and above. This is a 24hr around the clock contest commencing at 6pm Saturday and finishing 6pm Sunday. Sausage sandwiches and steak sandwiches will be available for participants and visitors on Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Luskintyre Aviation Flying Museum will be open for the duration of the contest weekend. Guided museum tours will operate both days at 1pm. Aviators and Radio Amateurs are most welcome to visit.

AAAA National Fly-In & Airshow. Echuca. A fleet of aircraft from Luskintyre that includes Tiger Moths, Chipmunks and Austers will depart Luskintyre for Echuca for the Antique Aeroplane National Fly-In and Airshow. Overnight stays will be made at Mudgee on the way. The Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia National Fly-In is a great chance to get up close to a wide variety of Antique and Classic aircraft, meet the owners and make some new friends. The Airshow will be held on the Sunday between the hours of 11:30 and 13:30. All people are welcome, all you need is an interest in aviation.

Tiger Moth 75th Birthday Hangar Party. Luskintyre. A Hangar Party will be held to celebrate the first test flight and Birthday of the Tiger Moth. A spit roast dinner will be held in the hangar amongst the Tiger Moths on Saturday night. Cost is $82 a double. Accommodation is available locally for those wishing to stay overnight. Tiger Moth and Vintage Aircraft owners are invited as well as aviation enthusiasts and pilots. Come along and help celebrate the 75th birthday of this wonderful aircraft.

The Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia National Fly-In is a great opportunity to see one of the biggest gatherings of vintage and classic aircraft in Austraila. A significant number of Tiger Moths, Chipmunks & Austers will travel from Luskintyre to Narranderra for this event. The planned route will be Luskintyre-Mudgee-Forbes-Narrandera with an overnight stopover at Mudgee.

Several aircraft will depart Luskintyre on Friday and track via Mudgee for Narromine where they will spend the weekend celebrating the launch of this historic aircraft.

Luskintigers Fly-Out to Temora. Parkes, Temora, Parkes, Mudgee. Several aircraft will depart Luskintyre on Friday to visit the Temora Aviation Museum. Planned route is: Luskintyre-Mudgee-Parkes overnight Parkes on Friday night, Parkes-Temora for the airshow on Saturday, Temora-Parkes overnight Parkes on Saturday night, Parkes-Mudgee for lunch at Mudgee on Sunday, Mudgee-Luskintyre for Sunday afternoon.

Lunch with the Tiger Moths. Luskintyre. Held on the first Saturday of each month, you'll see a large selection of DH-82A Tiger Moths in flying condition, and many others under restoration. Check out the aviation memorabilia in the Luskintyre Aviation Flying Museum - a small but interesting collection of aviation bits and pieces. It's a casual affair with hotdogs and a sausage sizzle for lunch. Picnic facilities are available if you wish to bring your own lunch.
