Amateur Radio Remembrance Day Contest. Luskintyre. A special event Amateur Radio Station will operate from Luskintyre Airfield for the annual Remembrance Day Contest. The contest commemorates Radio Amateurs who died during World War II and is intended to encourage friendly participation and help improve the operating skills of participants. It is held as close to August 15, the date on which hostilities ceased in the southwest Pacific area. Radio Amateurs in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea are the only stations able to participate in this event, and stations operate on HF bands 1.8 to 30MHz and on VHF bands 50MHz and above. This is a 24hr around the clock contest commencing at 6pm Saturday and finishing 6pm Sunday. Sausage sandwiches and steak sandwiches will be available for participants and visitors on Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Luskintyre Aviation Flying Museum will be open for the duration of the contest weekend. Guided museum tours will operate both days at 1pm. Aviators and Radio Amateurs are most welcome to visit.

AAAA National Toy Run. Luskintyre. Combined event with Lunch with the Tiger Moths. Charity Event - All aviators are welcome to fly in for the day and enjoy a BBQ lunch. Everyone who attends is asked to bring a childrens toy to be donated to Charity. We all get so much enjoyment from our flying this is our chance to give a little bit back.

This contest focusses on operations on the 160 metre Amateur Radio band or 1.8 Mhz and operates over the hours of Saturday 6pm to midnight. Two special antennas will be erected at Luskintyre for the event - an omni-directional inverted V antenna and a directional antenna pointed towards Wellington New Zealand. Aviators and Radio Amateurs are most welcome to visit.

Proposed routes are: Luskintyre - Mudgee - Cowra - Naranderra (overnight) - Echuca, then home via: Leeton (overnight) - Naranderra - Cowra - Mudgee - Luskintyre. The group will meet up with aviators from the Leeton Gliding Club at Brobenah Airfield on Sunday night for a 'Shearers Stew' and overnight stay.

The contest commemorates Radio Amateurs who died during World War II and is intended to encourage friendly participation and help improve the operating skills of participants. It is held as close to August 15, the date on which hostilities ceased in the southwest Pacific area. Radio Amateurs in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea are the only stations able to participate in this event, and stations operate on HF bands 1.8 to 30MHz and on VHF bands 50MHz and above. This is a 24hr around the clock contest commencing at 6pm Saturday and finishing 6pm Sunday. Sausage sandwiches and steak sandwiches will be available for participants and visitors on Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Luskintyre Aviation Flying Museum will be open for the duration of the contest weekend. Guided museum tours will operate both days at 1pm. Aviators and Radio Amateurs are most welcome to visit.

AAAA National Fly-In & Airshow. Echuca. A fleet of aircraft from Luskintyre that includes Tiger Moths, Chipmunks and Austers will depart Luskintyre for Echuca for the Antique Aeroplane National Fly-In and Airshow. Overnight stays will be made at Mudgee on the way. The Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia National Fly-In is a great chance to get up close to a wide variety of Antique and Classic aircraft, meet the owners and make some new friends. The Airshow will be held on the Sunday between the hours of 11:30 and 13:30. All people are welcome, all you need is an interest in aviation.

Tiger Moth 75th Birthday Hangar Party. Luskintyre. A Hangar Party will be held to celebrate the first test flight and Birthday of the Tiger Moth.
